The Peña Suite: $109 + tax

The Peña Junior Suite, located in the main Hacienda, is a spacious and airy room perfect for hanging out during the day and with plenty of space for regrouping at the end of a long day sightseeing or hiking. The room is named in honor of Amado Peña, a favorite Southwest artist of Jule Vargas, the original owner of Hacienda Vargas.
The suite has a queen bed and a twin day bed, plus a table and chairs, and a large wood-burning kiva fireplace. The private bath features a large antique claw-foot soaking tub and shower with antique fixtures complete with water closet toilet and pedestal sink. The vanity and medicine cabinet are pieces from the well-known New Mexican, Robert Wagoner's former dentistry office. The room is artistically decorated with wall stencils and displays the original 150+ year old adobe wall through a glass encasing called a Truth Window. In addition to the entrance from inside the Hacienda, the Peña has French doors which open out to the Hacienda's north yard.
